2023 FIRST Robot

  • Built Not Bought, Robotics Systems and Electronics
This is our final robot design(as of 3/9/23). We had to change the chassis to create enough ground clearance to get on the pad. Then, we attached our pneumatic grabber and our electronics. We ended up placing in the top 15 in our first competition, and in our 2nd competition, we finished in the top 10 and became alliance captains. I am really proud of what we accomplished in 2 years!
For the 2023 FIRST robotics challenge, we were tasked with picking up cubes and cones, as well as driving onto a “charge pad” and leveling ourselves on it. This robot in the kickoff video served as my inspiration for the design I submitted.
This is another one of my napkin sketches (I really like doing these) that I submitted to my team, and we agreed upon going forward with this design.
This is a progress update picture from early February. We had made major strides very quickly, but now we were in for a lot of problem-solving issues to come. These issues included the clearance height from the bottom of the bot and the spacing of the arm into the chassis.
