This is a mobile workshop cart I have designed in Solidworks to house my clamps and hot dog compressor to create more organization in my shop. Measuring out all the fits and tolerances was a pain, but I think I finished with a very solid prototype.
My first step of the building phase was to attach the base frame together using some 2×4’s and plywood. the compressor was a perfect fit!
Next, I attached the back wall and upper framing. I decided to not make the angled 2×4’s run all the way to the top because if I use an extra 2×4 and cut slots in it I can run it along the top of the frame and have an area for my semi longer clamps.
This is as much progress as I have been able to make on the cart as of 6/24/2023. I created the drawer slots and started applying scrap wooden bottoms to them so I can use them as shelves for the building process. I’m really excited to start this project again soon!
